1
Choose your fabric. Use a decorative print fabric for the outside of the credit card holder, and a coordinating (or plain) fabric piece for the lining. Match the thread to the fabric.
-
2
Cut rectangular pieces from both fabrics, 4¼-inches wide and 8-inches long.
-
-
3
Place the two pieces of fabric together, outsides facing in. Pin around all sides. Sew a ¼-inch seam around the outside, leaving a 3-inch opening on one of the long sides. Remove the pins.
-
4
Turn the credit card holder right side out. Sew the opening shut by hand.
-
5
Locate the center of the card holder 3 ¾-inches from one of the long ends. Sew across the fabric at this center point. This will help the credit card holder to fold in half easily.
-
6
Fold each short end toward the inside (lining side) 1-inch. Pin the ends in place and hand sew along all the 1-inch sides. This will form a pocket on each end to hold your credit cards. Fold the credit card holder in half at the stitching line and press with your iron.

Tips & Warnings
If your fabric is thick, you may need to clip the corners at an angle to reduce the bulk. Do not trim too close to the stitching.
