One popular way of creating personalized ringtones before the popular practice of downloading them was making them. With keyboard capabilities to enter different keys and notes, many Motorola phones allow you to compose your own ringtones. Though the practice may be difficult to many, finding codes online will allow you to enter your ringtones easily with your keypad.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Click the top menu button on your Motorola keypad. Select the "Settings" option within the main menu.

  2. Step 2

Select "Ring/Vibrate" within the "Settings" menu, and select "My Tones" in the next menu.

  3. Step 3

Scroll to the bottom of the "My Tones" menu and select "[New Tone]" and "Notes" on the next two pages.

  4. Step 4

Enter the notes for your ringtone with your keypad. These notes can be made up in any order you like, or they can be found online as ordered codes by converted ringtone software.

  5. Step 5

Enter a name for your new ringtone once you have finished, save the ringtone, and assign it as a ringer to use it.
