How to Play a Mini DVD Without a Camcorder
While DVD is the standard size for Digital Video Disks, you may have seen from time to time a Mini-DVD format, these are mostly commonly provided with Mini-DVD Camcorders, however they do pop up as demo DVD's once in a while. Thankfully it's rather simple to utilize Mini-DVDs in any DVD drive with the right know-how.

1
Open your DVD drive and look at the disc insertion space. On many drives you will see a large rounded space where a typical DVD is placed. Inside of that larger space, your drive may offer a smaller indented circle. Simply place your Mini-DVD inside that smaller indented circle, close your drive and play the DVD.

2
Buy a Mini-DVD to DVD adapter if your drive doesn't feature a small indented area as explained in Step 1. This is a small DVD looking contraption that has a place to snap your Mini-DVD into place in the middle of the adapter. Place the larger DVD adapter into your player and it will play like a normal DVD.

3
Insert your Mini-DVD directly into your drive if you are using an option such as a MAC Superdrive. Because these drives do not offer trays, simply "Feed" the DVD into the drive. Its the same concept you see on most car stereos, but for DVD formats. The drive should take your Mini-DVD and place it in the correct spot. However, you may want to check that your drive will accept the smaller format before proceeding.
