How to Make Gift Bags for Wedding Guests
One of the many traditions of a wedding is to give guests a small gift bag or a favor to show appreciation for their attendance. Most couples try to make the gift in the theme of the wedding and symbolize who they are as a couple. Gift bags are simple to put together and fairly inexpensive to create.

1
Choose a colored sheer organza. You will likely want to coordinate this with your wedding colors. Make sure the organza you choose is fairly thick, as you want it to be able to support the weight of the goodies you stuff inside.
-
2
Measure out a 6" by 6" square. Use this as your sample sheet. Cut as many organza sheets as there are wedding guests.

3
Lay a single sheet out flat. Fill it with whatever goodies you like; candy, cookies, cookie cutters, bath soaps, and so on. These items should all be individually wrapped so they remain sanitary and don't create a mess. Place all these items in the center of the sheet in a small clump.

4
Gather up the sides of the fabric so that the top part of the organza can fit into your hand when you clench up your fist. Place a small rubberband around the neck of the organza.

5
Choose a ribbon to match the sheer organza. Cut a 6-inch long piece of ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the rubberband and tie in a knot. Take the note or thank you tag (if you choose to), punch a hole in it and stick the ribbon through the hole. Then tie the ribbon in a bow.

Tips & Warnings
Prepare these bags as far ahead of time as possible so you have one less thing to do as the wedding date approaches.
Consider the seasonal temperature when deciding what to put in the bag. For example, if your wedding is in the summer daytime, chocolate probably isn't good to put into a bag because it might melt in the heat.
