Things You'll Need:
- Pencil eraser
- Soft cloth
- Fine-grain sandpaper
- Suede brush
-
Step 1
Rub the stain gently with the soft cloth. If the stain is from a spill, then you probably have already lost some of the texture from the brushed suede. Rubbing it with the cloth will not only restore the texture, but it will also remove any crusted areas of the stain and lighten the appearance of the stain.
-
Step 2
Erase the stain with the pencil eraser. Gently pass the pencil eraser over the stained area. Do not scrub the area with the eraser. This will remove a little bit of the stained fabric, but if you are gentle, this should not make a thin spot in the suede.
-
Step 3
File off the stain with sandpaper. If the eraser does not work, then you may be able to sand off the stain. Do not scrub the area, but sand it very gently. You are removing the top of the suede that holds the stain, so remember that you run the risk of creating a "dip" in the fabric.
-
Step 4
Brush the entire garment or piece of suede with a suede brush. This will even out the nap and make it more difficult to tell that you removed a stain from the area.
