How to Clean Silver Using Super Washing Soda

Super Washing Soda is made by Arm and Hammer. It is a great way to remove grime from silver and because it is sudsless, is easy to rinse away and does not leave that pesky line of soap scum or film of residue that many other cleaners leave behind. You can easily and quickly clean even extremely tarnished silver safely and effectively using Super Washing Soda.

Things You'll Need

• Silver sponge
• Tarnished silver
• Super Washing Soda
• Bowl
• Water
• Soft clean cloth

Instructions

1. Create a Super Washing Soda paste. Combine 3 tablespoons of soda powder with 1 tablespoon of water. This will form a thick, white paste.

2. Dab the silver sponge in the paste. It should stick to the sponge.

3. Rub the paste on the tarnished silver. Use the silver sponge, which is soft, to gently rub the paste around. You will see the tarnish coming off underneath the paste.

4. Rinse off the silver. Once you have removed the tarnish, rinse the silver under cool running water. You can use your fingers to rub the paste off. It is perfectly safe to rinse it down the drain as Super Washing Soda is an all-natural product.

5. Wipe the silver dry with the soft clean cloth. This will prevent water spotting. Now your silver will be shining and beautiful.
