How to Clean Silver Using Super Washing Soda

It is a great way to remove grime from silver and because it is sudsless, is easy to rinse away and does not leave that pesky line of soap scum or film of residue that many other cleaners leave behind.   • Silver sponge
  • Tarnished silver
  • Super Washing Soda
  • Bowl

      Create a Super Washing Soda paste. Combine 3 tablespoons of soda powder with 1 tablespoon of water. This will form a thick, white paste.

      Dab the silver sponge in the paste. It should stick to the sponge.

      Rub the paste on the tarnished silver. Use the silver sponge, which is soft, to gently rub the paste around. You will see the tarnish coming off underneath the paste.
