How to Load a Rivet Tool

Rivet tools are useful for projects that include riveting thin pieces of metal together such as your aluminum gutter. Using the rivet tool properly is important to getting a correctly set rivet; this includes knowing how to load the rivet.

Instructions

1. Squeeze the hand rivet tool's trigger to release the holding chuck.

2. Push the rivet metal stem into the tool all the way so that the rivet is resting on the chuck.

3. Release the trigger to hold the rivet in place.

4. Place the rivet into the hole that you are riveting together and squeeze the trigger to use the rivet. When you are done, remove the metal stem from the rivet tool and repeat the steps for another rivet loading.
