Things You'll Need:
- Shoe box
- Red, white and pink construction Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
- Valentine's Day stickers
- Colored markers
- Glitter
-
Step 1
Choose a color of construction paper. Lay the construction paper on a table. Place the shoebox lid upside down on top and trace the outline of the lid onto the paper. Remove the lid and cut the paper along the line.
-
Step 2
Use glue to attach the construction paper to the lid of the shoebox. Follow the same steps to cover each side of the box in your chosen paper color.
-
Step 3
Find the center of the shoebox lid. Use scissors to cut a hole in the center of the lid that is big enough for a Valentine's Day card to fit through.
-
Step 4
Draw hearts with the colored markers on the construction paper. Be creative and make any other designs you like. You can make hearts in pink and red. You can also make Cupid's arrows to decorate the box.
-
Step 5
Dribble glue on the box in various shapes and patterns. You could make hearts, circles, swirls or zigzags. Immediately sprinkle glitter on the glue before it dries.
-
Step 6
Place the Valentine's Day stickers all over the box. Pay special attention to the top of the box, as this is what the other children will see when placing Valentine's Day cards into the box.
