Rejuvenate Your Face

Sun exposure, environmental damage and aging can wreak havoc on your complexion. For people not willing to go under the knife, there are plenty of non-invasive treatments that provide an instant glow. For a more permanent solution, surgical procedures offer long-lasting results. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Get monthly facials. A typical facial involves exfoliating, extracting clogged pores, massaging to stimulate muscles and applying moisturizing masks to hydrate your skin. Afterward, your refreshed face will take on a healthy glow.

    • 2

Get a facelift. This is a very popular facial rejuvenation procedure that removes wrinkles and lifts sagging skin in the jowls and neck to achieve a more youthful look. A facelift is a more permanent solution, and typically lasts from 7 to 10 years.

    • 3

Get Restylane injections. Restylane is an FDA approved drug used to plump up wrinkles and nasolabial folds, and give your lips volume. These non-invasive injections are best administered by a licensed, board-certified plastic surgeon or experienced dermatologist. Most injections can last up to a year, or more.

    • 4

Get a microdermabrasion or facial peel. These treatments remove the surface layers of skin to reveal healthier, clearer skin underneath. Crystals, alpha and beta hydroxy acids and special machinery are used to remove age spots and other imperfections for a smoother-looking complexion.

    • 5

Try a new makeup look and hairstyle. Rejuvenating your overall look can rejuvenate your face. If you have light hair, dye it a fiery red or deep brown. Try new shades of lipstick and eye shadow to freshen your look. If you've always worn lighter shades of lipstick, shake things up with a bold red mouth.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your facialist is a certified esthetician who is trained in skincare. Wear sunblock everyday, at least SPF 15, to prevent further sun damage.

  • Avoid getting extractions on sensitive skin, as they can result in broken capillaries.
