1
Purchase stencils. These can be bought at the local craft store. Look for designs that will reflect the style you wish to display on your computer case. Stencils come in flowers, images, themes, letters and numbers.

2
Buy paint, paint brushes and sandpaper. Acrylic paint and paint brush kits can be found in the craft store by the stencils. Purchase a can of clear acrylic spray to use as a top coat on your finished computer case as well.

Lightly sand the area on the computer case that you wish to paint. Center the stencil over the area, and secure with masking or painter's tape. If you have a layered stencil, read the instructions on the back of the package to determine which is layer one.
-
4
Pour the desired paint color on a paper plate. Dip the brush in, and wipe off any excess paint on a paper towel. Fill in the cut out areas of the stencil with the paint.

5
Carefully remove the tape and stencil from the computer case. Allow the paint to dry. If you have a layered stencil, tape on layer two over the area painted by layer one. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you have completed all layers.

6
Check that the paint is dry. Spray the painted area of the computer case with the clear acrylic paint. Allow it to dry completely and add a second coat.
