Instructions

    • 1

Invest in eyelashes that don't require a tube of glue. These are called "self-adhesive false eyelashes". Using these instead of conventional fake lashes helps you avoid messing up your eyeshadow, as you may have done when using glue.

    • 2

Hold the false eyelash tray below your face as you stand in front of a mirror. The eye each false eyelash falls under is the one on which it should be applied.

    • 3

Peel one strip eyelash gently away from the packaging, taking one end off and lifting until you reach the opposite end. You may use a pair of tweezers instead of your fingers if this is easier for you.

    • 4

Before putting on the fake eyelash strip, close the eye you will apply it to. Hold the fake eyelash over--not against--the lash area to see if the strip is too long and needs to be trimmed. If it is too long, trim the fake eyelash strip a hair or two at a time, checking every time to see if the strip is a better fit. Trim with a pair of mini scissors for precision.

    • 5

Close the eye halfway as you gaze into the mirror. Line the false strip up with your own lash line so you know exactly where to press it on. Stick the fake eyelash strip on the skin of your eyelid immediately above your lashes, not on the hair itself. With the blunt end of your tweezers, press the fake eyelashes securely into place.

    • 6

Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 for the other eye.

Tips & Warnings

  • Curl your eyelashes prior to applying the self-adhesive lashes so that your natural lashes blend effortlessly with the falsies.

  • Do not remove both fake eyelash strips from the tray at the same time. This might lead to confusion over which fake lashes go on which eye.
