1. Put your key into your car's ignition and turn it to the "On" position, one click before the "Start" position.

2. Press and release the small black button on your car remote, known as the valet switch. Press the button a second time and hold it.

3. Press the "lock" button on your remote while holding the valet switch.

4. Release both buttons and turn the key back to the "Off" position.

5. Press a button on your remote to test if the programming was successful.
