As most women know, makeup can do wonders. If applied correctly, makeup can easily make you look younger than you really are. There's no need to have expensive procedures done to defy age. The most common mistake people make when applying makeup is that they use too much. Makeup can change your look in seconds and the key to looking younger is all in the amount of makeup you use and how you apply it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Concealer
  • Mineral powder
  • Powder brush
  • Light bronzer
  • Bronzer brush
  • Brown eyeshadow
  • Cream eyeshadow
  • Eyeshadow brush
  • Black mascara
  • Clear lip gloss
  1. Step 1

Apply the concealer under your eyes. Start at the inside corner near your tear ducts, and put small dots of concealer from the tear duct to the middle of your eye. Rub the concealer in, making sure you don't take it past the middle area of your eye. If you apply it all the way across, it will weigh your eyes down and give you a heavy look. The goal here is to brighten your eye and rid it of any dark circles. Apply concealer to any age spots you may have and blend completely.

  2. Step 2

Brush mineral powder over your entire face. Concentrate on problem areas. Once you finish your face, apply the mineral powder down your neck and lightly on your chest. Make sure that it is blended completely. You shouldn't see any lines, if you do, you may need a lighter shade of powder.

  3. Step 3

Brush bronzer lightly to your cheekbones. Make sure you don't over do it. You want to apply enough that it gives you that young radiant glow, but too much will make you look overdone. Lightly swiping the brush over each cheek bone twice should be enough.

  4. Step 4

Cover your entire eyelid with cream-colored shadow. Start at the bottom of your lid and apply up to your brow line. This will lighten your eyes. Take the brown eyeshadow and apply it in the crease of your eyelid. Start by your nose and continue to the outer corner of your eye. Continue with the brown eyeshadow under your bottom lashes from the outside corner to the middle of your eye. Take the cream shadow and lightly brush it over your entire lid again. Blend the colors together with your finger, so you don't have harsh lines.

  5. Step 5

Apply mascara to your lashes. Apply the first coat to both the upper and lower lashes and allow it to dry completely. Then, apply a second coat. Make sure none of your lashes are sticking together. If they are, use your fingernail or tweezers to separate them.

  6. Step 6

Put clear lip gloss on your lips. Apply two even coats and rub your lips together to make sure they are completely covered. Use your finger to remove any extra gloss.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stick to neutral shades of makeup. When you are trying to look younger, less is more.
  • Avoid foundation. Foundation is heavy. It will not only weigh your face down, but settles in your wrinkle lines, making you look older than you really are.
