Step 1
Check the recipe that you will use with the flax substitute and see how many eggs are needed.

Take one tablespoon of flax seed and place it in a blender or coffee grinder. Grind the flax seed to a consistency of grain.

Boil the ground flax seeds in a small pan for three to five minutes. Depending on the amount of flax seed substitute you will need, you can simply wait until the mixture is a similar thickness to egg whites.

To substitute flax for egg in recipes, use the ratio of 1Tbs of ground flax seeds with two or three Tbs of water. That will give you approximately ¼ cup or 4Tbs to equal one egg. One cup of the egg substitute is also equal to 4 eggs.

Another solution to making substitute flax for egg in recipes, takes out the boiling of the ground flax seeds.

Simply mix the flaxseed with the correct amount of water and blend it all in a blend to mix it well.

Place the mixture in the freezer or refrigerator for up to an hour, and it will be the same consistency as an egg. The mix can last in your fridge for at least three to four days.
