    Tylenol.

    Tylenol.

A Child's Dentist would say the first thing to do is massage the gums and giving he/she something cold to chew on. Do not use commercial products that contain benzocaine in them because this may trigger other reactions.
If the child is really uncomfortable possibly give them some Tylenol. Take there temperature and if it is over 101 for more than 2 days call you Doctor.

  2. Step 2
    Chamomile Tea

    Chamomile Tea

A Herbalist says to make painful teething be less stressful is to rub the gums with chamomile tea. Make chamomile tea into ice pops and let the child suck on the cold healthy ice pops. Making a soothing tea is also an idea. Mix 1/2 oz. of chamomile, lemon balm, dried catnip, and lavender in hot water for 15 minutes. Give it to your baby in a bottle.

  3. Step 3
    Calcium Carbonate

    Calcium Carbonate

The teething expert says to make a homeopathic remedy of calcium phosphate or calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate helps with your baby being sweaty or clammy. These both are available in homeopathic tablets at the health food store. Get the 30X tablets. You can grind them up in a dish with water and massage on their gums. Or place a cold apple in a cheesecloth and let them chew on that.
