Stop using your credit cards and cut them up today.

If you cannot afford your credit card payments, it is time for you to cut up your credit cards, get out of debt and live within your budget.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

CUT UP YOUR CREDIT CARDS - Use a good pair of scissors to cut up your credit cards. Be careful not to injure yourself. Burn the card pieces in the fireplace or throw them away. Throw them away in different trash cans or in two separate trash pick ups so that no one can find all of the pieces and get your numbers. Do not cancel the accounts, that is not good for your credit. Only cancel a card if it has a yearly fee.

  2. Step 2

PAY OFF THE CREDIT CARDS - Start with the card that has the highest interest rate and pay it off as quickly as you possibly can. Paying even a little extra each month goes a long way to cut down on interest and pay off your balance. Keep paying them off until all of your cards are at zero balances.

  3. Step 3

LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS - Do not be tempted to charge things on your credit cards. If you need more money, then work more. Get a second job, make money online or have a garage sale. Just do not get yourself into debt again.
