How to Get Rid of Fleas Naturally with Eucaplytus and Eucalyptus Oil
Every summer, flea eggs begin to hatch and fleas infest yards and homes. While commercial flea killers, poisons, and bombs are available, these products contain toxic chemicals that can be harmful to pets and humans. Instead, you can get rid of fleas if you treat your yard and home with a simple common item. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Plant eucalyptus plants in the yard (particularly around the perimeter of the yard). Fleas hate the scent of eucalyptus, and will be quickly driven away from any area that smells of eucalyptus.
-
2
Plant eucalyptus seeds in pots inside the home. Silver dollar eucalyptus plants are the ideal size to be grown indoors (see link in "resources" below, for silver dollar eucalyptus seeds). Once the plants have begun to grow, place pots with eucalyptus plants near the front and back doors. Placing the plants near entrance doors will get rid of fleas that try to enter your home on pets or clothing.

Saturate cotton balls with 100% eucalyptus oil, and place the cotton balls in places where children and pets cannot reach them. For instance, place the saturated cotton balls under sofas, behind entertainment centers, and under anything else that a child cannot easily move or lift. This will get rid of fleas in the areas that they like to hide and multiply: cool, dark areas of your home.
See link in resources section below, for a link to 100% pure eucalyptus oil.

4
Saturate cotton balls with eucalyptus oil and place under mattresses. Fleas love to make their homes in mattresses, because of the easy access to hosts (humans). Placing cotton balls covered with eucalyptus oil under mattresses will get rid of fleas that would otherwise infest your bedrooms.
-
5
Replace the eucalyptus cotton balls every week or two, to ensure that they are potent enough to get rid of fleas.
