How to Send a Free Fax Online with My Computer

At some point or another, most people will need to send a fax. If you don't have a fax machine at home, and don't want to pay a fee at an office supply store to send a simple fax, you can send or receive a fax for free online, using just your computer and internet connection.

Instructions

1. Go to Fax Zero (there's a direct link in the "resources" section below). Fax Zero will allow you to send a free fax online with your computer. They limit their services to the United States and Canada.

2. Fill out the "Sender" information about yourself. Double check your email address, to make sure you've entered it correctly.

3. Fill out the "Receiver" information. The "Name" is the person within the company that you're sending the fax to. If there's no specific person you're sending it to, type in the department ("Sales") or type in "To Whom it May Concern."

4. Enter the body of the fax in the "fax information" section. You can either cut and paste the information into this window, or browse your computer and upload the document to the website.

5. Click "Send Free Fax Now" to send the fax. To use this free option, your fax can't be longer than three pages. You are limited to sending no more than two faxes per day. If your needs exceed the limits, you can opt for their "premium" option and pay $1.99 per fax, paying with your PayPal account.
