Instructions

    • 1

Unpeel the avocado and remove the pit. Scoop half of an avocado into a bowl and mash it. You may need to use a whole avocado if you have long hair. Make sure the mashed avocado is free of big chunks.

    • 2

Mix /2 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil into the avocado. If you use a whole avocado, you need to double the amounts.

    • 3

Brush or comb the mixture onto wet hair. Apply the mixture to the ends of the hair liberally.

    • 4

Let the avocado hair mask sit in your hair for 20 minutes. If you suffer from dry, flaky scalp, massage the mixture into your scalp 5 to 7 minutes.

    • 5

When the time has passed, rinse the mixture out and shampoo and condition your hair.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a blender if you don't want to manually mash and mix the mask.

  • You can substitute more olive oil for the almond oil, or use an egg white.

  • Adding honey to the mix could help as well.

  • If you have an oily scalp, do not apply mixture to the scalp.
