How to Understand SEO or Search Engine Optimization

Many people talk about SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Then there are many who don't know what it is. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is how your article or website gets ranked on search engines. Ranking is how close to the top your article will appear when someone enters a search. In easier terms it means the articles title or website is search friendly. People wonder how do I get my article to rank higher? SEO is the key and here are some tips that will help you to get your website or articles ranked higher.

1. There is a whole industry that has started that help businesses boost their rankings on major search engines. SEO takes technique when submitting a web page to rank higher in the major search engines.

   The main thing with SEO is that it helps search engines understand the content of the page being submitted. The technique to getting ranked higher on the search engines is done by using clear titles that don't confuse the search. The text on the page should be focused on one thing in particular for example if you were to do a search on gold. All type of gold would come up from gold colors to jewelry to anything that could include gold.

3. 

   But if you are writing an article on cleaning gold jewelry you don't want to mention gold throughout the page without adding "cleaning" or "cleaner" and "jewelry". Look at the picture in Step 2 and then now in Step 3 and you will see how the page changes. This is how SEO works.

4. SEO happens when the article is all in sync. You will notice that high ranking pages will have the main word in the title, in the first few sentences and then a few more times throughout the article. It will also have words in it that refer to the same thing. This is where keyword comes into play and what is meant by optimized. The bottom line is repetition. Words are repeated to create optimization.

5. Many people are confused over keywords as the key to ranking high in search engines. It is clear, discriptive titles, repetition through out the page and again keywords (words that refer to the title and page) and not a lot of filler words just to make an article longer. By following these tips it will help get an article ranked higher.
