Things You'll Need:
- A positive attitude
- Discipline

Step 1
1. EAT RIGHT AND MOVE YOUR BODY...This first step should be a given. Eating healthy and exercise have been scientifically proven time and time again to add many, many years to ones life. I not talking about trendy diets, because FACT diets don't work. . Most trendy diets aren’t really that healthy for you, cutting out nutrients that you body needs, and most diets are impossible to stick to. And I not talking about becoming stick thin, you have to be your perfect weight. One of the ways you can figure this out is by adding 100 pounds to every 5 feet, and an additional 5 pounds to every foot after that, for example I'm 5'4" so according to doctors a good healthy weight for me is 120 pounds; now this doesn't have to be right on, and if differs for men.
The outline to a good healthy eating habit is good portion control, lots of fruits and vegetable, the brighter the color, and the greener the leaf the better to eat. Taking dietary supplements, and antioxidants is also great, and don't forget the fiber. Stay away from sugar, and bleached flower, but having sweet once and awhile want kill you, treat yourself. Crabs are your friends; your body needs whole grains and wheat’s. Instead of buying bleached pasta, buy whole wheat.
If your knew to this, it may seem hard at first, but once your start eating I lot healthier you'll feel than difference, you'll feel great and you not going to want to go back, but STICK TO IT, listen to your body, really listen. -
Step 2
2.MOVE YOU BODY.... This second step is connected to the first, everyone should know by now that exercise is good for you, THERE ARE NO SHORT CUT'S, you have to exercise. Cardio is a must, speeding up your heart rate a least 30 minutes a day will keep you heart healthy. For older men and women strength training is great, because as you age you start to loose muscle mass. There are so many options out there when it comes to exercising that you are bound to find something you like, and that’s very important, if it feels like work, and you don’t enjoy it then you want do; not saying everyday is a piece of cake, but you have to stay disciplined, if you give yourself to much slack you'll end up back in you old routine. But give yourself vaca days, like I exercise 30-45 minutes five days a week and I vaca (vacation) on the weekends, Saturday-Sunday.
You can join a gym, workout at home, and there’s lots of out door activities, such as bike riding, kayaking, hiking walking you dog, roller blading, rock climbing, surfing, horse-back riding, and many more. You can join a community sports team, Soccer, tennis, and volleyball is great because it keeps you body moving. But if you find that Its hard to find time, there also many things you can do in your everyday life to get in some exercise, like parking the farthest from the store and walking, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and biking to work instead of driving. Once again it may be hard at first if you new to this, but knowing that you love yourself enough to take care of your body will may you feel great about who you are. -
Step 3
3. LOVE THY SELF. It has been proven that people who are confident live longer then people who low self-esteem. Find something your good and thrive in it. The simplest things can feed you confidence, like working, getting a job, and paying your own bills, rent, buying your own car, it may be hard or a struggle but the fact that you did it all by yourself will boost you confidence. Volunteer, take up a hobby, pamper yourself; walk down the street like your a supermodel and everybody know it.

Step 4
4. SAY I DO...Studies have proven that men who are married can add ten years to their life's, WHY because they have their wife's to take care off them, or to tell them who to take care of themselves, I'm not lieing that’s what they said. But also people who are married live longer because they have a family to live for, and of course they have LOVE (if you in a good marriage).
-
Step 5
5.THE BIGGIST GIFT IS ONE'S FRIENDS AND FAMILY...Just like being married having close friends, or spending time with close family members can also years to your life.
-
Step 6
6. NEVER RETIRE...studies have proven that the sooner you retire the sooner you die; ok maybe it's not exactly put in those words, but one of the secrets to adding years to your life is to staying active and having an purpose. I'm not saying you have to stay stuck in a dead-end job for ever, you can always take up a new career, or go back to school; even if your forced to retire from your profession it's never to late to re-invent yourself.
-
Step 7
7.KEEPING YOUR MIND STIMULATED.... Just like exercising, exercising your brain is just as important, like they say "if you don’t use it, you loose it" Plat chess, do a cross-word, plat scrabble, read a book, or just get yourself into a stimulating conversation. There are May ways to keep your mind sharp; besides what the point of living to be 100 if you can’t even remember your name.
-
Step 8
8.LIVE TO THE FULLEST...Last but not least, live to the fullest, don't harm yourself, don’t break the law, and don't hurt anyone else, but LIVE YOUR LIFE, you only get one (on earth anyway). Take a road trip, write a book, build your dream-house, or just laugh a lot. It has been proven happy people live longer, so be happy, don't stay in a loveless relationship, and don’t stay in a job you hate, be smar about it, but be happy.
