Toddlers need lots of healthy foods to develop but many toddlers are picky eaters who do not finish their meals. Here's a great way to offer essential fruits and veggies in an appealing way that your child can easily access throughout the day.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ice tray
  • fruits
  • veggies
  1. Step 1

Pick out an ice cube tray and wash well with soap.

  2. Step 2

Cut up fruits and veggies in fun shapes like banana wheels, carrot cubes, celery slivers, peas, thin apple slices (remove skin & slide a lemon wedge over slices to prevent browning), cooked sweet potato wedges, etc.

  3. Step 3

Fill each cubicle with a fruit of veggie.

  4. Step 4

Leave the tray on a low table that your child can easily access throughout the day. She won't eat it all at once, but she'll do "fly bys" when she's hungry or curious. Doing this will ensure she gets some essential vitamins from fruits and veggies that will help her grow and develop!

Tips & Warnings
  • when she picks food up to eat, make sure you're supervising her so she doesn't choke.
