Red Canna Flowers

Canna Flowers are very pretty. My sister gave us some of her canna bulbs from her garden. There are different variety and sizes of canna bulbs. My sister gave us the tall red ones.
Let me show you how to plant your canna flower bulbs.

Things You'll Need:

Canna Bulbs
Shovel
Bucket of Water
Gardening Gloves

Step 1

Dig holes

First thing to do is soak the bulbs in a bucket of water to make sure they are hydrated. You want your flowers to have the best possible chance to survive and grow.
Dig your holes approximately 6 inches deep.
Step 2

Plant bulbs

Put the bulbs in the holes making sure it is sprout up.
Step 3

Cover bulbs

Cover the bulbs starting by putting in some loose dirt around the bulb making sure it is still sprout side up. Then cover the hole well.
Step 4

Pat down dirt

Pat down firmly the dirt on the hole.
Step 5

Water Canna Bulb

Give your newly planted canna bulb plenty of water. We planted 9 bulbs so my husband gave each newly planted bulb a shot of water and then went back to give them another drink.
