Make Your Own Baby Food Carrots
Make Your Own Baby Food Carrots

Making baby for it healtier and a lot cheaper than buying baby food. It also makes us mom feel better because we often worry about what is really put in baby food from the store

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • baby carrots
  • pot of water
  • butter (OPTIONAL)
  • food processor
  • bowl with top
  • potato smasher ( if you dont have a food processor)
  1. Step 1

Go to the grocery store and buy a bag of baby carrots. Come home, gather the supplies needed, wash your hands, and wash the carrots thoroughly. Put enough water into a pot to cover the carrots and some.

  2. Step 2

Turn on stove to a medium fire and add carrots to the water. Bring water to a boil, or wait until the carrots are tender all the way through, and turn off stove.

  3. Step 3

Remove carrots from water, and put the carrots in the food processor, add a little butter (OPTIONAL), allow the butter to melt. Blend carrots to the desired consistency, and feed to baby

  4. Step 4

If you do not have a food processor, you can use a smasher used for potatoes and do step number three, just without the food processor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to take out what you are going to feed to the baby, feeding the baby from the bowl with all of the carrots could cause the carrots to spoil quickly and not make baby feel well.

on 5/5/2009 Making baby food is so easy and look at the money you will save, not to mention how healthy it is. Personally I don't think it is a good idea to add butter until they are older. Thanks the the nice article.
