    * Turn your watch on its side and examine the side of the links. You should see a small circle on the side of most of the links.

  2. Step 2

    * Use the paperclip or pushpin to push the circle, which is actually a pin that goes all the way through, out of the link which will separate the link from the watch band. On occasion you may need needle nose pliers to pull the pin lose once you get it moving.

  3. Step 3

    * Now repeat the last step on the other pin that is holding the link to the watchband. The link will come off completely.

  4. Step 4
Here's the watch and the two links I took out.

    * Then use one of the pins you pushed out, to secure the two new links together.

  5. Step 5

Try on the watch, if it is still to big, take out some more links.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sometimes the pin's don't want to come out. You can either try another pin or try a different method of pushing on it.
  • When you're trying to get the pin out be careful not to slip with whatever your using to push on the pin. You could stab yourself in the fingers.
