Things You'll Need:
- Windows XP operating system

Step 1
HOW TO ZIP A FILE/FOLDEER:
Go to and select the file or folder that you want to compress/zip. -
Step 2
Right click on the file/folder/icon and select "Send To".

Step 3
In the "Send To" menu, select the option that says "Compressed (zipped) folder".

Step 4
Allow the file/folder/icon to compress (time depends on size of file/folder).
Your file/folder is now ZIPPED/COMPRESSED. -
Step 5
HOW TO UNZIP A FILE/FOLDER (so that it can be used):
Double-click or right-click and chose "Open" on the file/folder you wish to unzip.
The file/folder will open. -
Step 6
The file/folder/icon will display withOUT the zip.

Step 7
Copy/paste or drag the unzipped file to the desired location, where it will be saved so can work with it.

Step 8
Close the zipped file/folder. If you wish, you can delete it, as the file/folder that you saved in Step 7 is your working/unzipped copy.
