Things You'll Need:
- A very good beautician.
- Vitamin Supplements
- Deep Conditioner every two weeks
- Trim, trim, trim, trim!
- Patience.
-
Step 1
First and foremost, find a very good beautician and stick with that person. It is not good having too many people work on your hair. Once I committed to going to one person, my hair started growing in nice and healthy. I was able to cut it and it grew back (I did that a few times).
-
Step 2
Think about what you do to your hair. If you are one who tends to put your own relaxer in, that can cause major damage. Your hair stylist was trained to do these things. So instead of buying cheap chemicals to do yourself, make an appointment and let the professionals do it.
-
Step 3
Also think about what styles you go after. Glue is damaging as well. Stick to allowing your natural hair out, or occasionally putting them in braids (I had my hair braided for sewn in weaves for a few months out of the year, and it helped my hair grow).
-
Step 4
Make sure you get a deep conditioner every two weeks, and a trim once a month. Not getting rid of your split ends will only create more damage.
-
Step 5
Stay away from Gel and do not use too much spritz, it breaks your hair. Use Jam if you really need the hold.
-
Step 6
Even if you do not have a fresh new hair do, make sure you wrap your hair with a scarf every night before bed, or sleep on silk pillow cases.
-
Step 7
Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water, not only is it good for your skin, its good for helping you maintain healthy, shiny hair.
-
Step 8
And lastly Vitamin A, C, E, B6 and B12 are amazing at hair grow and preventing hair loss, so make sure you take your multi vitamin daily!
