How to Make Graduation Centerpieces
Graduation represents the closing of one door and the opening of another. Whether it be from kindergarten, high school or college, a graduation party is the perfect way to celebrate the accomplishment. Making personalized centerpieces is a great way to show your graduate how much you care.
Things You'll Need
- Glass jars
- Marbles or candies in school colors
- LED candles
- Ribbon in school colors
- Color or black and white copies of graduation and other photos
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush

Buy glass jars at a craft store or dollar store. You will want to get one or two per table.

Scan graduation photos and other photos from over the years onto your computer, and print them off, either in color or black and white, onto regular paper. If you don't have a printer, have copies made at a copy center.

Cut and crop the photos as desired, and glue them onto the outside of the jars. Collage them all the way around the jars, covering the entire surface. Apply a top coat of Mod Podge over the entire outside surface. Let dry overnight.

Wrap ribbon around the top of the jar in school colors. Fill the jars half-way with candies or marbles that coordinate with the ribbon.

Add one LED candle to the inside of each jar. Before the party starts, turn on each candle.

Tips & Warnings
Another option is using floating candles in school colors, filling the jars with gel or water
Sprinkle confetti around the jars.
Coordinate with tablecloths, plates, cups and cutlery in school colors.
If using real candles, do not leave them unattended.
