Things You'll Need:
- iron
- ironing board
- item to iron patch onto (i.e. jeans, purse, cloth, etc)
- iron-on patch
-
Step 1
Preheat your iron to it's hottest cotton setting.
-
Step 2
Place the article that the patch is to be ironed onto on a hard, heat safe surface such an as ironing board. If an ironing board is unavailable, you may use a counter top, cutting board, desk, etc.
-
Step 3
Place your patch onto the cloth where you want the patch to be permanently fixed and place your pressing cloth (pillowcase, t-shirt, etc) on top of the patch.
-
Step 4
Apply the pre heated iron onto the patch, pressing firmly for approximately 60 seconds. DO NOT move the iron back and forth like you're ironing wrinkles; simply hold the iron still and press firmly.
-
Step 5
Flip the entire garment over, so the patch is now face-down on the ironing surface. Re-cover with the pressing cloth and re-apply the iron, pressing firmly for approximately 60 seconds.
-
Step 6
Allow garment to cool completely before using/wearing.
