I made this opal chip flower bracelet because I love opals, flowers and beads.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5-7 ¾" diameter pink or purple shell buttons
  • 5-7 clear seed beads
  • 35-40 opal or amethyst or rose quarts chips
  • fishing line
  • 5-7 glass 3mm pink or clear flower cups.
  • stretchy cord
  • 5-7 flat small anchor beads
  • small needle
  • 5-7 green flat oval beads resembling leaves
  1. Step 1

    1. Use stretchy cord 11" long. Tie temporary knot on one end to keep beads from falling off. First bead flat green oval bead resembling a leaf.

    2. Then using fishing line, with knot on end, make a flower that can be added to stretch cord after completion. Thread through a flat spacer bead (as an anchor knot on bottom), then through a purple or pink shell button, (see picture of back of flower) and up make a circle of 7-8 opal chips tight, then back down through anchor flat spacer and up again using alternate hole in button each time, through a small 3mm glass pink flower bead with hole in center, topping off with a pearl and seed bead on top. Go back through pearl (omitting seed pearl as top anchor); hole in shell button and through anchor flat bead, being sure to pull all tight as you go. Tie closed and tight to original end of fishing line. Put one drop of jewelry or crazy glue on.

  3. Step 3

    3. String on stretchy cord by coming up one button hole and down the other.
