Things You'll Need:
- Powder foundation
- Lighter shade of eye shadow
- Darker shade of eye shadow
-
Step 1
Dust powder or mineral makeup foundation on both eyelids as a way to allow your eye makeup to adhere and last as long as you need it to.
This makeup artist trick alone can save the need for reapplication of eye shadow which is really important in situations such as weddings where time may be limited and you want to keep that fresh look for the entire celebration. -
Step 2
Apply lightest shade of eye shadowUse a sponge tip applicator, or eye makeup brush, to apply the lightest shade of eye shadow to both lids from eye lashes to eye brows. Do not apply beyond corners of eyes or ends of eyebrows.
-
Step 3
Add the darker shade of eye shadowAdd the darker shade of eye makeup using a fine eye makeup brush (or sponge tip applicator), in a V shape on the outer corner of the eye. Start midway of the eye crease and shadow to the outer corner of the eye and back across the lid just above the eyelashes to the inside corner of the eye.
-
Step 4
Blend the two shadesBlend the two shades slightly to create the shadowed look and blur the dark to light lines.
Finish with an application of choice of eyeliner and mascara.
