Things You'll Need:
- party music
- great clothes
- conversation starters
- smile
-
Step 1
Prep up. Giving yourself good vibes will put you in a good mood and will make it easier for you to socialize. Put on some feel-good, party music to get your party mood on. This will give you more confidence and it will reflect at the party.
-
Step 2
Wear your best clothes. Make sure you wear clothes that flatter your body instead of trying to fit yourself into the clothes. Knowing that you look your best will give you an additional boost of confidence, because you will be more comfortable in your own skin and body instead of being conscious for the duration of the party.
-
Step 3
Talk with the life of the party. At parties, there are groups of people who seem to be having the most fun and whom most people know. Spend time with them and see why they are so likable. Observe them and learn social techniques they use.
-
Step 4
Befriend everyone. Sometimes, you may be selective of people who you want to hang out with. If people approach you, talk with them and make friends with them. This will give them the impression that you're a friendly, happy person, and you are more likely to attract people this way.
-
Step 5
Help out. Speak with the host even if you don't know him or her, and ask if there's anything you can do to help out the party. If you're at a bar or club, treat a couple of people to a drink to show that you're helping others have a good time as well.

on 5/6/2009 That sounds like fun. I am not much of a party person but this article sounds handy for wallflowers!
