Tuna patties are simple to make and are a great alternative to burgers. For a small family, you'll only need one can of tuna.   • Canned Tuna
  • Egg
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion
  • Bell pepper (optional)

      In a medium-sized bowl, chop approximately 1/8 to 1/4 onion -- 1/8 will add the onion flavor, and 1/4 and more would be for onion lovers.

      If you want to add bell pepper, cut one slice of the full length of the bell pepper, and chop it into the bowl.

      Add the tuna into the bowl and mix.

      Add one egg to the mixture.

      Add 1/2 cup of flour. This can be all-purpose or self-rising, depending on your preference.

      Add salt and pepper to taste.

      Mix all ingredients very well, making sure the flour and egg are mixed throughout.

      Heat vegetable oil, and drop the tuna in the hot oil by spoonfuls. Brown on both sides. Serve. These are good hot or cold.
