Things You'll Need:
- Desire to Learn
- Motorcycle
- Proper Motorcycle Gear
- Curvy Road
-
Step 1
Before entering a curve, a rider should be going an appropriate speed. Slow down before entering the curve by applying both brakes gently to obtain a slower entry speed. Entry speed should be obtained BEFORE entering the curve. Do not use brakes in a curve.
-
Step 2
A rider should always look where he/she wants to go. In other words, a head turn is needed to look thru the curve to where the bike should go. And in a curve, you cannot always see the entire road so looking ahead is necessary.
-
Step 3
The rider will press the corresponding side of the handlebar to make the motorcycle go in the proper direction. If a rider wants to go left, press the leftside of the handlebar. If a rider wants to go right, press the rightside of the handlebar. So, press left to go left and press right to go right. (This is how to steer the motorcycle at speeds above approximately 20-25 mph)
-
Step 4
As the rider is going thru the curve he/she should slowly roll on the throttle increasing to an appropriate speed to complete the curve.
