Step 1
Show those that are interviewing you that you are a likeable person by having a firm handshake with a smile and it is a good idea to repeat each person's name as you meet them so you will better remember their names later.
-
Step 2
Be courteous and do not sit until you are asked to take a seat and stay away from sitting at the head of the table.
-
Step 3
Small talk is an important way to break the ice so have some prepared small talk topics prior to going into the interview.
-
Step 4
Do your homework on the company and those that are interviewing you. Have some prepared questions ready for the interview to show that you have done your homework.
-
Step 5
Pay attention to your body language. Sit-up in your chair with your back against the back of the chair. Slouching shows you are uninterested and sitting on the edge of the seat comes across as being to tense. Also, pay attention to the body language of those interviewing you. It is acceptable to mirror their body language.

Step 6
Know your work history by being able to share your completed job-relevant experience and quantify your accomplishments by providing percentages and dollars if possible.
