1
Wash and blow-dry the hair out straight. Do not add styling products, as they will cause the hair to be slippery.
-
2
Part the sections of the hair in a pattern according to the desired style of the human hair extensions. For example, if only a few extensions will be added, only half the hair should be parted. If a full head of hair is going to be added, use a circular pattern. Place all hair not being braided in a clip.

3
Cornrow small sections of hair at a time. Be sure that the cornrows are flat and not bulky. Large cornrows will increase the volume of the hair extensions.
-
4
Measure and cut the extensions to match the length of the cornrow. Doubling the extension will create a look of increased volume.
-
5
Lay the measured row of extensions directly on top of the cornrow to begin stitching. Begin stitching at the very end of the right side and continue to sew each line of extensions to the cornrow from one end to the next. Use eight to ten stitches per line, and make them tight enough to be sturdy. Make a knot at the end of each thread. Cut the excess thread, but leave a piece that is long enough for someone to see when cutting the thread out.

6
After all extensions are sewn in, style as desired.
