How to Treat Mouth Ulcers

Everyone has experienced and suffered from mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers are round sores in your mouth that become inflamed and swollen. If not treated properly, mouth ulcers can cause further complications. Learn how you can treat mouth ulcers the easy way!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Did you know that you can treat painful mouth ulcers using an apple? First, peel off the apple's skin. You can then rub the apple slices a couple times on your sores. If your sore is on your tongue, you can let the apple sit on your tongue for a couple minutes. You should do this about 5 times a day.

  2. Step 2

It's advised that those suffering from mouth ulcers drink lots of water to flush out the toxins in the mouth and body. You should also rinse your mouth with salt water a couple times a day. Having good dental hygiene helps your mouth ulcers heal faster, and can even prevent you from future break outs.

  3. Step 3

Avoid eating spicy and sour foods to help speed up the healing process of your mouth ulcers. Spicy and sour foods can actually make your ulcers more inflamed and prolong the healing process. Avoid foods high in sugar and citrus fruits.

  4. Step 4

Lastly, you can speed up the healing process of your mouth ulcers by applying antiseptic gel to the ulcer. This will protect your ulcers from bacterial infection and insure that you have a fast recovery! Remember, the safest way to avoid mouth ulcers is to keep your dental hygiene clean!
