Things You'll Need:
- CDs
- Miscellaneous Items
- Cleaning Supplies
-
Step 1
Listen to audio books. A quick trip to your local library, bookstore or online shop (see below) and you can quickly grab the latest in fiction and non-fiction. Keep it in your vehicle. You can easily cover three or four unabridged titles per month.
-
Step 2
Continuing Education. Again, use the audio books. Pick titles that cover areas that you need to work on: Sales, Public Speaking, Organization. Or pick a subject to concentrate on. There is a saying that reading five books on any given subject will make you an expert.
-
Step 3
Detail your car. Seriously. Keep Armoral and Glass Plus wipes handy. You can detail the dash and front seats when stopped. If you have backseat passengers they can handle the back. This frees up time on the weekend also.
-
Step 4
Balance your checkbook. Why waste your weekend balancing the checkbook when it could be done before you even get home.
-
Step 5
Go through your coupon book and get rid of the expired coupons.
-
Step 6
Make your grocery list. Note which items you have coupons for (well you did just update your coupon book).
-
Step 7
Update your calendar. If you are like me you just throw notes into your purse or calendar which never quite get written in. Use this time to fill in those notes (bonus is you are able to get rid of some excess paper you've been carrying around).
-
Step 8
Fill out greeting cards for upcoming events. Since you've updated the calendar you know who has a birthday or anniversary coming up so why not go ahead and fill out a card. When you get home you can slip it in the mailbox.
-
Step 9
Unfolded laundry? Throw the basket in the car when you leave in the morning and fold when you are stopped. Then when you get home you just have to put it away.
-
Step 10
Have a bunch of items that need filed? Bring them along and file them. Just remember to not leave them in the vehicle during the day (visible paperwork leads to identity theft).
