It is easy to find out how to protect your home from mosquitoes. There are zappers, propane powered traps and candles that keep mosquitoes away.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

ZAPPERS - There are inexpensive and light weight electric zappers that you can place near the area that you are trying to protect from mosquitoes. Sometimes the noise of the mosquitoes flying into the zapper is annoying to some, but they do work fairly well at protecting humans from getting bit by mosquitoes.

  2. Step 2

ATTRACTANT TRAPS - There are more expensive traps that cover larger areas. Propane powered attractant traps can protect an area up to 1 square mile. The trap requires a tank of propane, attractant and sticky pads to work effectively. They range in price from $150 to $350 dollars plus they continually use propane which can be expensive. Every couple of months you will need to buy more attractant and sticky pads. The device must be left running all of the time to be effective and it takes a month or so before it starts working on existing mosquitoes.

  3. Step 3

CANDLES - Citronella candles can also keep an area mosquito free, but the area is usually fairly small depending on how many candles you have burning. Some individuals do not like the smell. There are many ways to protect your home from mosquitoes.
