You can spend a great deal of time caring for your garden to help it flourish. But slugs can overtake it and eat your flowers and plants. You can rid the area of slugs without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Pie or cake tins

Instructions

      Bury disposable pie or cake tins in your flowerbeds or vegetable patch up to the edges. Place a pie tin every four feet.

      Pour beer into the pie tins to a depth of ½ to 1 inch and leave them in place. The beer attracts slugs, which fall in and drown.

      Dispose of the slugs each morning. Empty the beer and refill every three to four days.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remove pie tins in the morning. Dead slugs will attract birds.
