How to Create a Custom Karaoke CD
You love karaoke; you're in your element singing in front of a crowd. But what if the DJ doesn't have your favorite song by the latest German rock band...in German...or you have your own discs, but there's only one or two songs on each CDs, or CD+Gs that's your favorite, and it's a hassle bringing ALL of them with you. What do you do?
Well, you can make your own personalized karaoke CDs or CD+Gs and have the perfect song list at your fingertips, with all your favorite artists and songs, in any language.
There are several options to accomplish this. You can do it at home with some computer upgrades and software purchases, or you can have an outside company burn the disc for you.
Either way, you'll end up with exactly what you want, whether it's Tokio Hotel's Durch den Monsun in German, or something from this side of the Atlantic in English.

If you want to burn CD+Gs, (CDs plus Graphics) which contain the graphics that display the lyrics on the karaoke screen, you'll need a disc burner that has the ability to accomplish this. A regular CD burner doesn't have the capability to read the graphics, so you'll only get the music and not the lyrics.

You can purchase CD+G software that allows you to download the songs, and then add the graphics to the CD+G, from a Word document. You can sync the lyrics with the music to make it easier to sing along, alter the key for your voice or change the tempo.
There are many brands available and a quick search will bring up lots of price ranges and capabilities. Most you can pay for and download online.

Lastly, there are many online companies that will burn CD+Gs with songs you request. Make sure you specify they label the CD+G with the song list; some default to just your first and last name. Of course, you can always make a label when you get the disc, but as long as they have the capabilities, have them do it.
