Things You'll Need:
- Rope
- Tether Ball Pole
- Tether Ball
- Bowling pins or plastic bottles and sand.
- Chalk or paint
-
Step 1
First you'll need bowling pins. If you have pins from a toy set, use those. If not, you can use plastic bottles with a little sand in the bottom to give them weight.
-
Step 2
Using Chalk or Paint, make marks on opposite sides of the circle around the tether ball court. One is where the bowler stands, and the other is where the pins will be set up. It's a good idea to put dots where the pins will be set to keep it fair.
-
Step 3
Set up the pins at one mark, like at a bowling alley.
-
Step 4
Attach the tether ball to the pole on an extra long rope. With the rope tight the ball should be just low enough to hit the top half of the pins.
-
Step 5
The first player swings the ball on the rope to try to hit the pins. He can not go past the mark opposite the pins without loosing his turn. He gets two tries. If he knocks any down, he gets points equal to the number knocked down. If he knocks them all down on the first try, he scores points double the number of pins. on the second try the pins are re-set and double points can be scored again if all are knocked down. If only some are knocked down, the number of pins is added to the score.
-
Step 6
All players take turns. The player with the most points wins.
