How to Use Natural Bug Repellent

Bugs are everywhere. No matter how clean we keep our houses, you will still see bugs. I hate bugs. I also hate the chemicals used in commercial bug sprays.

Instructions

1. Ants are naturally repelled by coffee grinds, cinnamon, mint, cayenne pepper and lemon oil. Sprinkle coffee grounds around the entire outside of your house. Make small sachet bags of any of the above to deal with these little pests.

2. 

   Weevils get into flour, pasta, rice, cereals. Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator. Use dried peppermint, dried bay leaves, orange oil, paprika or dried red chili pepper as a natural repellents. Do not add these ingredients to your food. Make little sachets and store near affected areas. Orange oil can be applied to a small piece of cloth.

3. 

   Dust Mites and Bedbugs: As long as your infestation is not severe, in which case you will need a professional. Wash bedding, stuffed animals etc in hot soapy water, dry thoroughly. Use a spray bottle with the following :
   1 cup distilled water
   1/4 cup white vinegar
   10 drops peppermint oil

   Mist surfaces. Always test for color fastness.

4. 

   Fleas: Your pet may bring them in, but they will also live on your carpets, bedding and furniture. Place a couple of moth balls in your vacuum cleaner bag. When you vacuum, the moth balls will kill the fleas that enter the bag. Eucalyptus, sage, bay leaf and citrus oil are natural repellents.

5. 

   Flies: Dirty and annoying. Natural repellents are mint, cloves, sweet basil and eucalyptus. For your next BBQ place sweet basil leaves all around the food to keep the flies away. To make a home made fly trap. Paint a strip of cardboard with a light coat of honey, flies are attracted and get stuck.

6. 

   Silverfish seek dampness. Fix all dripping, leaky faucets, use a dehumidifier. Cucumber peels are a natural repellent. Spiders (ewww) are a silverfish predator.
