Cinco de Mayo is here! Planning a party? Here are some tips on how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo the South Texas way.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bean,rice, tortillas,pinata,
  1. Step 1

Attire. Bring out your dancing huaraches, your enormous sombreros ,and make sure to take off the pancho. Remember you will be celebrating big and comfort comes before fashion.

  2. Step 2

Forget invitations. Two hours before your Cinco de Mayo celebration CALL no more than 10 people. The rest will tag along or arrive when smelling the food . Before you know it, your house will be full of people. Most of them will be people you haven’t seen in years.

  3. Step 3

What’s up with the jams? A mariachi is required. You cannot have a Cinco de Mayo "pachanga" without the Mariachi. Make sure they know the song titled El Mariachi Loco.

  4. Step 4

Bring a dancing partner. You’ll be “huarachiando” all night long. Don’t worry if you have no date; there will be plenty of uninvited guests to dance with.

  5. Step 5

Dinner? Whatever you’re preparing, it’s IMPERATIVE that you include rice, beans and tortillas. The rest is extra. Oh, don’t let me forget , pico the gallo is necessary as well.

  6. Step 6
    pinata

For fun? Don’t forget La piñata. What’s more fun that beating a flying cartoon character with a stick in front of the youngsters that absolutely worship it. Stuff it with candy so their pain won’t last long.
