Start to make the inexpensive round bridal bouquet for the bride. Soak the floral foam of the round bouquet holder in the sink filled with cold water. The 'foam' is similar to a sponge that expands and softens when wet. The more water it absorbs the softer it becomes. This makes it easier to insert the flowers when you make the round bridal bouquet without breaking the stems.

Place green leaves around the floral foam at the bottom of the round bridal bouquet with roses. Spread the white babies breath on,in and around the green leaves. Save money by using the rest to place on the table for decoration.

  3. Step 3

Work upwards and insert the ribbon that has been twisted around floral wire. This keeps the ribbon from hanging limp. The placement of the ribbon creates the front of the round bouquet. This is inexpensive to make. Keep the front in view as you work on shaping. During the wedding ceremony the guests will be able to view the entire red rose round bridal bouquet.

Cut your flowers into shorter stems as you make a round bouquet. Insert them into and around the layer you just made. Make sure you give the bouquet a round and not flat appearance by lifting some of the stems of the roses and other flowers as needed. Fill in the flowers with some of the babies breath.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have fun by using red roses mixed with yellow roses and creating the look you want.
  • Be careful when cutting the stems. Make sure you do not make them too short. It is easier to cut back when long than to add to a short stem.
  • Use colors relating to the color scheme of the wedding itself.
  • Wrap the stem with layers and layers of heavy duty plastic wrap. Wrap tightly as this will be the handle you will hold when you walk down the aisle.
