How to Clear Cookies From Your Computer

When surfing the web, each website you visit stores a cookie on your computer. These cookies take up space and can affect the performance of your computer. Therefore, it is important to routinely clear your cookies for optimal performance. This article will teach you how to delete cookies from your computer.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet explorer
  1. Step 1

    First you will need to open Internet Explorer (this is your internet browser) and locate the Tools tab on the toolbar at the top.

  2. Step 2

    Now you will click on Tools and find Internet Options. Click on Internet Options and then under Browsing History you will see a button that says Delete and one that says Settings. You will then choose delete.

  3. Step 3

    At this point you will see Cookies as the second option. Click on delete cookies and wait for all cookies to be deleted. Now you have deleted the cookies from your computer and you should see better performance from your PC.

Tips & Warnings
  • Clear cookies at least once a week. It can be done as often as desired.
