The majority of watch bands are difficult to adjust. However, most Relic watches come equipped with an Adjust-A-Link watchband. This type of watchband, which is specific to Relic watches, is designed to be quickly and easily adjusted without the use of specialized tools. This watchband can be adjusted by just about anyone in a few simple steps. Unless the watch has been specially ordered, only the links on the end of the watchband are adjustable.

Things You'll Need:

  • Relic Adjust-A-Link watch
  1. Step 1

Take the watch off your wrist and lay it on a flat surface such as a tabletop. It's impossible to remove the links while the watch is still on your wrist.

  2. Step 2

Look at the links on the end that doesn't contain the clasp. They should be connected by sections that contain a liftable tab. If that tab isn't present between the links, then the watch needs to be taken to a jewelry shop to be adjusted.

  3. Step 3

Pop up the thin metal tab. Because the tab is so small, it may be tough to push up with your fingertips; use a thin object such as a skewer or pencil tip if it's too difficult.

  4. Step 4

Slide the link and its connecting tab off of the link in front of it. Store the link in a safe place where it won't get lost. The link can be added back onto the watch later, if necessary.
