Make Maldivian Pasta

Making pasta is the easiest thing to do and it's a quick and delicious dish that every family enjoys. But making Maldivian pasta is not only healthier, its more tasty! Here's an easy recipe to spice up ordinary pasta and transform it to a unique one!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pasta (any kind you like)
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 dry Chili peppers
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • A can of Tuna
  • A can of Prego sauce
  1. Step 1

Boil water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to the instructions on the bag. Once done, drain the pasta from the water and place aside. Do not wash over the pasta with cold water so that the sauce sticks on it and doesn't get lumpy. In a large skillet, heat the butter and fry only one of the onions until golden brown. Add the dry chili peppers while cooking the onions and once they are done, mix it well with the cooked pasta.

  2. Step 2

In another pan, fry the other onion in oil until golden brown. Add the tomato paste, the garlic, the can of tuna, some salt (according to your preference), and the can of Prego sauce. Cook until the sauce is boiling and the tuna is soft, around 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Mix the sauce with the pasta and serve hot. This dish is a neat way to get your kids to eat fish and like it. If you prefer your pasta to be spicy then add diced chili peppers when cooking the sauce. Enjoy!
