Things You'll Need:
- For the purpose of this article, nothing is required to successfully accomplish the task at hand.
-
Step 1
As with most attacks from behind, the attacker will either wrap their arms around the victim's head and throat or wrap their arms around in a reverse bear hug situation. The very first thing to remember is to stay calm. I realize that in most cases this will be hard to do, however it is absolutely vital. It is to your advantage to stay calm and maintain your bearings.
-
Step 2
Regardless of the hold that the victim is in, the attacker will quickly force the victim to do as the attacker wishes. The quickest way to get out of this hold is to drive your heel onto the attacker's foot. To fully understand the force that should be used, visualize your foot going through the ground.
-
Step 3
Once you are completely broken loose from the attacker's hold, now is the time to spin around and give another blow. Do Not go for the groin area. Remember, the attacker is now on the defense, this will be a highly guarded area. Take the same force as mentioned in step #2 and apply it with a kick to the knees. This will make the largest attacker drop to the ground.
-
Step 4
With the attacker on the ground, now is the time to run away and yell as loud as you can. Go into the nearest building and call the authorities for help. Make sure you give a clear description of the attacker to include the color of clothing worn and any other details you may have noticed: i.e, tattoos, piercings, etc.
