Things You'll Need:
- A Mother
- Lots of Love
-
Step 1
BE EMERIL
Start off the most relaxing day by cooking Mom breakfast. Maybe an egg white omelette with whole wheat toast, yogurt and some juice. (You know what your Mom likes, so use your discretion!) If Mom is still in bed, make it breakfast in bed. Use a tray to carry in her meal and then let her enjoy her meal while lying in bed, alone. -
Step 2
BE PRODUCTIVE
Clean. Clean everything. Take the old food out of the back of the fridge that's been just sitting there. Dust the t.v screen and the cobwebs from the ceiling. This will be the greatest gift to give!! -
Step 3
BE CHEESY
No matter what age you are, you can make a coupon book. Coupon books are the best gifts to give a Mom, so be creative. Make coupons for a big hug, a back rub, foot massage, toilet cleaning...whatever you want! (Husbands, this is a great idea for you too.) -
Step 4
BE STEALTH
You can either do this by:
1. Get out of the house for the day, go to the park or shopping. (Don't spend money because then that defeats the purpose of doing stuff for free.)
2. Be quiet around the house. Kids, don't run around a scream all day and husbands leave your wives alone.
Peace and quiet is another gift that is priceless and so easy to give! -
Step 5
BE OLD SCHOOL
Make a mix tape of songs that remind you of Mom, or that make you smile that you want to share with her. No sad songs, or sappy songs, do happy songs that will make Mom smile. Or if you have a karaoke machine, record yourself singing a song or reading a poem about your Mom. That'll surely get her heart all a-flutter! -
Step 6
BE CREATIVE
Don't buy flowers, make them! If you have paper or napkins, crayons, markers or the like you can make your own flowers. Cut out flower shapes and tape them to pencils or even spoons/forks and make temporary flowers. This will show Mom that you really care, and really thought about her on her special day. -
Step 7
The last step is to just love her. Mother's are there for you every day, so keep that in mind when Monday comes around and it isn't technically Mother's Day anymore. The greatest gift you can give is by showing her you love her every day, not just the second Sunday of May.
